Los Prados, Northwest Las Vegas Valley
Los Prados is a guard-gated, master-planned community located in the Northwest Las Vegas Valley that is notable for including a highly-rated public golf course among its many amenities. It was originally developed in the 1980’s and has 1,358 homes, spread out over a total of 21 villages; four of those villages are age-restricted, 55+ neighborhoods.
As per Realtor.com, Los Prados is lauded for its affordability, with the median listing home price being $404,900 as of June 2024; the community is primarily made up of single-family homes – many with excellent views of the golf course – but there are also some townhouses available as well.
Los Prados is a true golf course community, and is known for being one of the few developments with a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) where the residents own and operate its own golf course. The course itself is beautifully maintained and features 18 holes, spread out over 6,000 yards; while the course is open to the public, preferential pricing and tee times are given to Los Prados residents.
The golf course also has a clubhouse with a lounge, gaming machines, two swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle pall and shuffleboard, a recreational facility, and a restaurant called the 19th Hole. And residents looking for additional dining options can easily find them within a short drive, including establishments such as Charcoal Room, Mezzo Bistro and Wine, Sushi Bar Sage, Bob Taylor’s Ranch House, Harvest Café, and Town Center Lounge.
There are also a great many shopping options available adjacent to Los Prados, ranging from supermarkets, clothing stores, household items, and a plethora of other retail goods and services; notable stores nearby to the community include Costco Wholesale, Sears Outlet, Walmart Neighborhood Market, the Rancho Sierra Shopping Center, and Target.
The health care needs of the Los Prados community are served by both small private offices and large hospitals, such as Canyon Medical Center, Mountain View Hospital, Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, and a multitude of others.
Those into physical fitness and nature will find ample opportunities to indulge in a wide variety of activities in the community; the Los Prados Circle is a 2.2-mile walking path, and there are also fishing, hiking, biking, bird watching, picnicking and outdoor sports available to participate in as well.
The educational needs of the Los Prados community are served by the Clark County School District, including highly-rated schools such as Ernest May Elementary School, Kay Carl Elementary School, and Joseph M. Neal Elementary School, Lied Middle School, Justice Myron E Leavitt Middle School, Northwest Career and Technical Academy, and Cheyenne High School.
In addition, there are also several private school options available for residents’ children.
