Providence Community
Providence is a 1,200 acre master-planned community constructed by Focus Property Group and located in northwest Las Vegas off of the I-215 North Beltway and Hualapai Way. The community features well over 5,000 single-family homes and a unique, traditional “New England” design and construction style that recalls dwellings of the northeastern United States, including streets lined with trees, numerous parks, and walking trails, all banded together via a keen sense of community that one could only find in a classic small-town American neighborhood.
Providence features numerous amenities for residents, including multi-family complexes, a large and thriving commercial center built near a well-known centerpiece of retail, entertainment, commercial, and educational establishments that ensures that locals are never far away from what they need, when they need it. The design of the neighborhoods themselves were meretriciously thought-out, with lush landscaping offering views of numerous trees, bushes, plants and shrubs, with a economical yet effective approach to irrigation to ensure that the greenery that Providence is known for not only survives in the arid desert heat but thrives as its signature feature. In addition, multiple walking pathways are interwoven throughout the landscaping to give residents a nearly endless array of sights when out taking a stroll.
Providence offers a great variety of parks for residents to enjoy; the centerpiece is the Promenade, a large park that is a beacon for many families, in addition to Knickerbocker and Huckleberry parks, both of which are popular draws as well, all of which are designed to accommodate exercise, public gatherings, and family-oriented fun – the homeowners association offers a full plate of year-round community events – while at the same time not encroaching upon or harming the surrounding environment. There is also a new indoor facility – The Place – which is a beautiful new venue for hosting various social events and sanctioned club meetings, as well as serving as a community hub where residents can meet and relax or enjoy sporting or gaming pursuits with friends.
Residents of Providence enjoy access to nearby schools and shopping, dining, and employment opportunities. In addition, local attractions and landmarks such as Mount Charleston, Kyle Canyon and Red Rock Canyon are within short driving distance away, ensuring a fun day trip for anyone wanting to get out and experience nature. One aspect of life in Providence is how involved the Providence Master Homeowners Association is in the everyday life of its residents. The Association is responsible for maintaining all common areas and planning a variety of social and family events in order to foster a sense of community among locals.
With construction completed and the first homes closed upon in 2006, Providence has consistently ranked in the top 15 selling master-planned communities in the United States, which is a testament to its appeal and quality to homeowners looking for an ideal community to begin or raise a family.
