Iron Mountain Ranch Community
Iron Mountain Ranch is a secure, gated, master-planned community located in northern Las Vegas, Nevada within the 89131 zip code. The area is known for its spacious homes and nearby outdoor recreation such as 13-mile scenic drive at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. The neighborhood, which has approximately 1700 housing units, offers a suburban lifestyle with access to plenty of amenities and resources in the Las Vegas Valley.
The community is mostly known for its peaceful and natural settings with several parks, paths, ponds, and streams. Its affordably priced 3-4 bedrooms single-family homes are also known for having larger lots compared to other parts of Las Vegas, allowing for a bit more breathing room and privacy for its residents. There are no age restrictions on who can live in Mountain Ranch although it is part of a homeowners association; the monthly HOA dues are $45.
Iron Mountain is conveniently situated near plenty of shops, restaurants, and retail services, providing easy access to general daily needs. Major roadways include the Interstate 95 and the 215 Beltway. For those requiring more excitement, the vast opportunities along the Las Vegas Strip are just a 30-minute drive south and there is plenty of outdoor recreation at the 197,000+ acre Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area which is said to see 2,000,000 visitors per year.
For those living in the community, five elementary schools serve families including Betsey A. Rhodes Elementary School, Kitty McDonough Elementary School, Howard E. Heckethorn Elementary School, Joseph M. Neal Elementary School, and Sandra L. Thompson Elementary School. The area’s main middle schools are Anthony Saville Middle School, Ralph Cadwallader Middle School, Lied Middle School and two high schools are nearby including Arbor View and Shadow Ridge High School.
The two major shopping centers are the Centennial Crossroads Plaza, a well-occupied shopping center with nationally recognized tenants that include Vons, Target, CVS, Chase Bank, and smaller Tobacco Shops and typical smaller local eateries. On the other side of the Beltway (215) is Centennial Center, a tremendous 300,000+ square foot outdoor shopping mall with major retailers including Sam’s Club, Walmart, Home Depot, Big Lots, Home Goods, Petco, BJs and many more, as well as Centennial Gateway, a group of smaller franchise stores, so there is no shortage of shopping opportunities nearby.
For Golf lovers, there are several excellent golf course options nearby for those who enjoy spending time on the course. Situated just north of Iron Mountain Ranch is the challenging 18-hole Aliante Golf Club. Another 18-hole championship course, Painted Desert Golf Club, is south of the 215 Beltway. Within a short drive is the world-renowned Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and three championship courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
